Marketing Intern (MKT1)

Canidium is a leading consultancy in sales performance management and sales operations technologies. We partner with mid-sized and Fortune 500 companies to provide the expertise and assistance in selecting and implementing sales performance management, sales analytics and related sales-enabling technologies that result in a better understanding of where to focus and how to motivate sales teams to generate  higher and more profitable sales.

 

Canidium is growing and seeking a highly analytical, creative, self-driven and organized marketing Intern. The Marketing Intern will help the Marketing Coordinator with leads management, nurture programs, SEO, paid advertising, sales efforts, reports, special projects, and support logistical/operational activities as needed.  

 

Responsibilities

 
  • Assists in the implementation of direct email marketing campaigns to nurture, onboard, and engage Canidium users and customers

  • Works with product marketing to activate, monetize, and retain paying customers

  • Works with engineering, data, marketing, and sales team to further integrate our marketing automation platform (Active Campaign) into our workflow

  • Assists in managing email databases for lead generation

  • Helps to identify the target audience and grow our email list

  • Ensures prompt and accurate communication with users via email and other channels to minimize unsubscribes

  • Proofreads messages for clarity, grammar, and spelling

  • Ensures mobile-friendly email templates

  • Assists in preparing newsletters including product and content updates from Canidium

  • Ensures our communication follows industry policies and best practices

Skills & Experience:

 

  • Should be enrolled in and on track to graduate from a four-year college or university with a degree in marketing, consumer psychology or a related discipline

  • 1 year of proven ability in marketing, project management or event management

  • Ability to think outside the box and bring creative ideas to the table to support marketing efforts

  • Content writing is a plus

  • Experience collaborating with third party vendors and geographically diverse teams to achieve successful results

  • Experience in spotting blockers and dependency problems in advance of impact and moving solutions for these blockers forward

  • Analytical skills, and experience drawing insights from large datasets

 

Ideal Qualifications:

 

  • You are willing to help as needed, willing to roll up their sleeves, and regularly work outside of their comfort zone supporting the Marketing team

  • Not waiting to be told what to do - better to be told to wait, than to go

  • You will say “I don’t know, but I will figure it out.”  And here at Canidium, you will be supported. 

 

Experienced in Trello, Canva, HubSpot a plus, and loves to figure out new tools and apps.

Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of working at a desk and on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.

 

Canidium offers competitive hourly wages for this part-time position, between $18.00 - $23.00 / hr. We can be flexible with class schedules, but request that you are present in our Old Town office about 20 hours a week.
